SOUTH CAROLINA DISTRICT EXCHANGE CLUB’S SOLDIER’S HEALING FIELD WILL BE AT MARION SQUARE
This field of flags was installed and dedicated by the Exchange Clubs of Charleston, University, Metropolitan Charleston, Folly Beach, Isle of Palms, Beaufort, North Charleston and a number of Exchangites from across the state. The SC District Healing Field Committee, chaired by Dennis Lott, is soliciting donations from corporations, companies, clubs and associations, and individual donors. All donors will receive recognition in the Healing Field Program. Approximately 1850, 3’ X 5’ American Flags, one for each serviceman or woman killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, will be placed as the name of the individual is read. State Rep. Bobby Harrell, read the names of the presently 38 South Carolinians that have lost their lives. These 38 names were read during the dedication ceremony held on Memorial Day. The Healing Field will remain in place through Saturday, June 4, 2005.
